The second annual Finnish tour of the latest in pulp and paper technological innovation took place in late 2012. The "Teppo Tour" as it's known (after its organizer, Teppo Koski, TEKO Consulting), visited several suppliers, Metsa Board facilities, the Finnish Forest Industries Federation and Metla (Finnish Forest Research Institute). The visit to Metsa Board's Aaneskoski mill as well as the new biomass-fuelled power boiler at its Kyro mill will be covered in separate PPI features. ABB was first stop on the tour. With more than 2,000 people, ABB's Helsinki operation is its largest. The pulp and paper sector belongs to ABB's Process Automation Division. In 2012, sales were more than $200 million. Acquisitions over the years include Bal-dor, L&W, Cellier, Bailey, KPM, Ulma and Alfa-Laval.
