Brazil may renew paper antidumping measures against supercalendered paper

The Brazilian trade secretary (SECEX) published in mid-October a resolution calling for a revision on the antidumping measures taken against Finnish and North American supercalandered paper imports, for release liner application to self-adhesive structures. "According to the analysis, there is evidence that the expiry of the antidumping measures would most likely lead to the continuation/ resumption of dumping, and of the resulting injuries to the domestic industry, it is proposed, therefore, opening a review for the purpose of ascertaining the need to extend the period of application of the antidumping measures," the Brazilian ministry for development, industry and trade (MDIC) stated in the resolution.
