The market for water treatment products in China will soar to RMB 42 billion by 2012, as the nation struggles to improve the condition of the surface water sources. Continued double digit annual growth will enable China to grow to become the world's third largest outlet for water treatment chemicals, equipment and supplies, after the US and Japan.
