CMPC plans to build a new 750,000-mtpy bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp line at the Santa Fe unit in Chile's VIII region of Bio Bio. CMPC will submit its environmental impact study to Chilean authorities in September and aims to start up the new fiber line in 2006. The company estimated the project cost at US750 million.
