Ideas and realities: Investigating good practice in the management of transnational English language programmes for the higher education sector
It is discussed that transnational English language teaching (ELT) prgarammes are on the rise in Australian Universities. Obviously, the management of both offshore and transnational ELT programmes in Australian higher education is quite complex and it needs much attention to implement the same with good practices. Therefore, it is attempted to identify the elements that contribute towards such good practices. In this regard, a desk research and a semi-constructed interview are conducted on the three different programmes in two different countries. From this study, three important issues are found to be playing major role in managing transnational ELT programmes and their successful implementation. (17 refs.)
