Quality management in education: Building excellence and equity in student performance

摘要

Ever since various quality management practices have been implemented in industries for improvements, other organizations in service, education, etc. have shown much interest in adopting the same. In its ambition towards the goal of better student performance and improved financial results, the efforts taken by Brazosport ISD, a school district in Texas, are discussed. It is described that the continued efforts of this school district has earned the prestigious Texas Quality Award and a site visit for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
