The article first discusses practical issues encountered while planning mixed, level experiments. A material study is presented to illustrate these issues. Then the designs applied for the materials study are discussed. (20 refs.)To highlight the issues associated with planning mixed level experiments so as to derive maximum tradeoffs from them.
