The Zwick Roell Group has introduced what it believes to be the UK's first hardness-testing system capable of establishing the hardness of any material, from rubber and plastics to metal and glass.The patented system determines hardness to Pr DIN ISO EN 14577-1 standard by continuously measuring the depths of indentation impressions under test loads. It can be incorporated into any of Zwick's materials-testing machines that are equipped with the company's "testXpert" digital software for automatic analysis and recording.
