MULTI-FUNCTION PRODUCT(MFP)manufacturers no longer just provide plain office equipment-many of these manufacturers see software customization and process integration as the next level for MFPs.MFP manufacturers understand that office equipment users have a growing need to tailor their equipment to fit certain needs-especially with government regulations like Sarbanes-Oxley requiring more document security and privacy oversights.Several companies released their new MFP models at this year's AIIM/On-Demand Conference and Expo,a trade show about new information management and printing technologies held in Boston in April.This year's AIIM/OnDemand featured more than 425 companies with representatives from all the major players in the office equipment world,including Xerox,Toshiba,Sharp,and Konica Minolta.
