The worst effects have been seen in oilseed rape but other crops may be at risk. SALLY SMITH hasan update.Super slugs may not have exploded from gardens into arable fields in any quantity since Potato Review first alerted growers to the threat - but that is no cause for complacency. Millions of eggs could be waiting in the soil to hatch and this spring and growers are urged to inspect emerging crops with particular care.
