IMPORTED STEEL MAY BE A BOON to U.S.buyers soon.UBS Securities analyst Timna Tanners says the BRIG nations(Brazil,Russia,India and China)are boosting 2006 shipments into the U.S.-and could push imports back to the 3.0 million tons/month average of 2004 from the average 2.7 million tons in 2005."High import levels in coming months can pressure steel prices lower,even with expected demand strength," Tanners says.
