Simplot Stabilized Phosphate (SSP) is simply MAP (11-52-0) plus Avail. Avail is the unique, water-soluble, polymer coating developed by Dr. J. Larry Sanders, CEO and co-founder of Specialty Fertilizer Products. This recent product development by SFP has successfully proven that the addition of an inexpensive coating to MAP can significantly modify soil chemical characteristics in the immediate vicinity of a fertilizer granule which improves P uptake efficiency, crop yield, quality and profitability.
