摘要

Studies on Genetic variability, heritability and Genetic advance of 6 characters of 12 cultivars of Almond were made. The characters namely fruit number per tree, nut yield per tree, kernel percentage and nut breadth exhibited high phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation. Most of the characters except fruit number per tree exhibited high heritability. Yield per tree showed high heritability along with high genetic advance indicating additive gene effects and therefore, further improvementcould be brought about by selection based on phenotypic observation of these characters.
