Drill 55 kg DAP and 35 kg urea or 55 kg urea and 155 kg single super phosphate per acre at the time of sowing. Urea can also be applied before "muni" (pre-sown irrigation). Muriate of potash @ 20 kg per acre may be applied in soil testing lowin available potash. But in Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and Ropar, apply 40 kg muriate of potash per acre or tillage.
