Nutrient deficiencies and their correction in fruit crops of Punjab

The deficiency or an excess of an essential element may cause disturbances in plant metabolism because of its vital failure to perform specific functions. Obviously, it is highly essential to keep a constant watch on the nutrient status of fruit crops. Balanced nutrition of the fruit plants is of prime significance to get good yield and quality of produce. Proper growth, flowering and fruiting in these plants cannot be sustained without optimum fertilization. The deficiency or an excess of an essential element may cause disturbances in plant metabolism because of its vital failure to perform specific functions. Obviously, it is highly essential to keep a constant watch on the nutrient status of fruit crops in order to identify and ensure timely action to rectify the deficiency, if any.
