The influence of application of natural compounds in strawberry protection against some fungal diseases.

Field experiments were conducted during 2006 and 2007 in Poland to evaluate the effect of strawberry (cv. Senga Sengana) protection against fruit infestation by Botrytis cinerea and leaf infestation by Mycosphaerella fragariae. Biochikol 020 PC (2%), Biosept 33 SL (0.2%) and standard fungicide Sumilex 500 SC (0.1%) were used. The best efficacy in strawberry protection against grey mould was recorded for Sumilex 500 SC. This treatment also recorded the highest yield of healthy fruits in both years. Among the preparations containing natural compounds, more effective grey mould control was recorded for Biochikol 020 PC than Biosept 33 SL, but the yield of healthy fruits was significantly higher in Biochikol 020 PC treatment only in the second year. The ested preparations had a significant influence on limitation of infestation by M. fragariae only in the second year.
