Laboratory experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of adjuvant Adpros 850 SL on the adsorption process of herbicide flufenacet on three soils with different organic carbon content. The flufenacet adsorption was described by the Freundlich equation. The behaviour of flufenacet in the water/soil system depended significantly on the soil properties and quality of the adjuvant. The amount of Freundlich K adsorption coefficient of flufenacet in the soils decreased in the order of Sawoszewo > Lipnik > Winna Gora. Addition of Adpros 850 SL resulted in the increase of 281.0%, 125.9% and 98.4% in K values for Winna Gora, Lipnik and Sawoszewo, respectively. Based on the adsorption data, the obtained values of parameter 1 in the Freundlich equation (which indicates the degree of nonlinearity between solution concentration and sorption) ranged from 0.483 to 1.360, and addition of Adpros 85 SL significantly decreased the 1 values for all soils (26-52%).
