Genetic studies of the distribution of invasive slug species Arion lusitanicus in Poland.

摘要

Studies were carried out during 2006-08 on different populations of the alien invasive slug Arion lusitanicus. The mitochondrial cox1 gene was analysed in 49 specimens from 10 different populations in Poland. The obtained results suggested that this slug species was introduced to Poland several times from different regions. The molecular analysis confirmed that the southern populations are the oldest populations in Poland.
