As of Friday, July 17, 2015, the BakerHughes rig count in the U.S. was 857. Thisconsisted of 638 oil rigs and 219 gas rigs. Amonth ago the total U.S. rig count was also857 with 631 rigs drilling for oil and 226 rigsdrilling for gas. In Canada, the rig count sincethe last Report improved to 192 – 98 oildirected,94 gas-directed.
