Angelo's Restaurant in Elmhurst, Illinois was the setting for the Chicago Branch meeting on April 12, 2007. First Vice President Will Picciotti thanked the bar sponsors-Craftsman Plating & Tinning and Acid Products Company. George Gatto won the 50/50 Raffle. Brian Kane, Director, announced that the Branch will have an outing to the Schaumburg Flyers baseball game on June 9, 2007. A picnic will precede the game. This year's recipient of the Charles Geldzahler Award was Larry Goto. This award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Branch. It recognizes an individual who has tirelessly volunteered time and effort to Chicago Branch activities. Mr. Goto, a 36-year member of the Branch, is Past President and has served on the local Board for many years. Larry Bernstein, last year's recipient, handed over the shiny, silver trophy to Mr. Goto.
