Marcus Jones, currently Chief Operating Officer of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), will take up the role of Chief Executive from 1 May 2009, succeeding Keith Read CBE, who served the Institute first as Director General and then as Chief Executive since January 1999.
