VIM Technologies enters inkjet CTP market with JT Direct Plate

Processless plate specialist VIM Technologies is set to become the latest entrant to the inkjet-based CTP market following the commercial launch of its JT Direct Inkjet Plate next month. Israel-based VIM, which demonstrated the plate in concept form at last year's Drupa, plans to differentiate itself by developing a plate that will react directly with Epson inks, unlike current systems that replace the inks with special fluids.
