Polyacrylate/polyurethane composite coatings have attracted considerable attention during the past several decades due to their outstanding performances, such as high glass, high impact resistance, excellent hardness, solvent and chemical resistance. They have been widely used in automobiles, leathers, fabrics, woods and buildings. These coatings are mostly prepared by curing isocyanate-capped polyurethane with polyacrylate having pendant hydroxy groups in two package systems. However, free isocyanate is a well-known respiratory sensitizor. So the search for isocyanate-free coating systems have gradually become important.
