PRODUCING a crop in an environmentally conscious manner with the intent of passing the farm on to the next generation — that pretty much defines family farming.As Roseville farmer Ron Moore points out, it's also a pretty good definition for sustainability. During the Illinois Soybean Association's inaugural Sustainability Symposium, farmers, consultants and members of related industries pondered how to better market some of the basic tenets of family farming, which coinciden-tally go hand in hand with sustainable food production.
