摘要

Forming long plastic parts is always challenging for manufacturer. Extrusion is by far the most suitable process for these applications, but has limitation especially with shapes. Such articles can also be manufactured by injection molding which requires large machine & complicated, expensive moulds. Therefore cost of final product may become substantial if not exorbitant. Basic idea behind this new technique i.e. Exjection is manufacturing of "profile like" long article using injection molding machine. Exjection combines the advantages of extrusion & injection molding to reduce the time & expense of making long parts. The major difference between exjection & legacy injection molding is that mould with the image of, say, a profile, moves at right angles to longitudinal axis of the machine in synchronization with the injection of molten material. Given that only a small cross-section of the part at a time is filled at the injection stage, significantly less clamp force is needed & parts have low internal stress. This process offers unique technical & commercial advantages & has been employed to mould one piece articles for widely diverse fields such as construction, furniture, mechanical industries.
