The real cost of renewable energy

During their recent lecture series in Australia, man-made global warming sceptics Dr Jay Lehr and Professor Bob Carter warned that renewable energy sources like solar and wind power were ineffective, costly and ultimately no real answer to the replacement of coal fired energy. In view of this it is interesting to consider Australia's target of 20% renewable energy by 2020. Soon our leading politicians will be travelling to Copenhagen where they will undergo a lot of arm twisting by countries like Denmark, the host of the international climate change gathering, to sign up to new and more comprehensive 'climate change' protocols.
