Bayfomox - a new sprayable polyurethane system for use as fire resistant coating

Lanxess is a leading producer of phosphorus chemicals and uses this chemistry to manufacture a wide range of flame retardants and chemical systems. One of these products is Bayfomox, a product developed when the company was part of Bayer AG. Originally developed to create fire resistant moulded polyurethane flexible and rigid foams, the intu-mescent chemistry has been modified to allow its application as a spray foam coating.
