The report for calendar year 2012 prepared by the leading U.S. cost and production benchmarking company was reviewed and summarised. The attached tables depict the significant production parameters and costs associated with rearing pullets, producingand hatching eggs, growing broilers and components of feed cost. The data was converted to metric values and all costs for feed and ingredients are expressed in SA Rand. Since the report contains over 400 pages, it is impossible to include all data. Accordingly the figures provided reflect the "Average Company" representing the mean values for the approximately 141 complexes which subscribed to the service and provided figures which are included in the report.
