Detailed research undertaken by PCI estimates flexible packaging sales in the US pet food / pet care category, comprising dry, semi-moist and wet pet food, pet treats and pet toilet litter, at around US$810 million in 2013. This includes multi-wall paper-based bags/sacks of up to 54 lbs (around 25kg) as well as small mostly plastics-based packs of less than 3 lbs capacity, formfill- seal rollstock and lidding.
