The explosion that occurred in Tianjin on 12 August has had little immediate impact on the surrounding feedstock and polymer production sites. However, since Tianjin is a regional logistics hub, the ensuing shutdown of many highways in and out of the city and the suspension of the area's high-speed rail transport system delayed distribution.
