High stabiliser demand helps push plastic additives/Sales and profits grow by 3% in 2007

High demand for polymer stabilisers helped Ciba(Basel/Switzerland;www.ciba.com)increase sales in its plastic additives division in 2007 by 3% over the previous year to CHF 2.16 bn(EUR 1.34 bn).Operating profit(EBIT)also increased year-on-year by 3%,reaching CHF 323m.The company said that strong growth had also been shown in its lubricant additives and personal care businesses.
