Thailand's Vinythai sees low vinyl rates for February due to tight ethylene

Tokyo-Thailand's Vinythai PCL plans to reduce operating rates at its recently-expanded vinyls complex in Map Ta Phut in February due to tight ethylene supplies,a company source said January 19.The company is currently running the complex at high operating rates,but short ethylene supplies and impending cracker shutdowns in Thailand are expected to force reductions,the source explained.The company plans to finalize actual February operating rates later in the month of January.
