Celanese restarted its Singapore acetic acid and vinyl acetate monomer plants early the week of Aug 26, but is maintaining force majeure on products from the facilities, a company official said Aug 27. Celanese received carbon monoxide feedstock from its supplier, Singapore Syngas, "thanks to a temporary fix to the supplier's unit," the official said.
