Ineos Chlorvinyls cuts back PVC run rates on poor economics

London-Ineos Chlorvinyls has reduced operating rates at its major 320,000 mt/year Wilhelmshaven and 245,000 mt/year Newton Aycliffe polyvinyl chloride plants due to high operating costs,a company source said June 11.The unspecified reduction in run rates was made at the beginning of June.The company already undertaking maintenance work at two other plants;Runcorn(115,000 mt/year)and Barry(120,000 mt/year).
