New cracker will transform Taiwan's Formosa into propylene seller

Sydney-Taiwan's Formosa Group,which was set to commission its third naphtha cracker at Mai Liao in April or May,may remain a net buyer of ethylene even after the plant comes on stream,a source close to the company said this week.The cracker would also enable Formosa to boost its butadiene sales,and transform the group into a net seller of propylene.
