Spain's Interquisa declares PTA force majeure at San Roque plant

Iberian PTA producer interquisa has declared force majeure on supplies from its 775,000mt/yr San Roque site in Spain following problems with the plant's waste water treatment system,a company source said July 3.Customers of the site were informed of the force majeure July 2.Operating rates at the plant are around 50% but the allocation rate is higher than this,the source said,declining to be drawn on the specifics.Operating rates were expected to be ramped up slowly through the course of July.
