The resin is is 'Fulcrum' thermoplastic urethane from Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI, USA. During pultrusion processing, this thermoplastic exhibits very low viscosity for good fiber wetting without the use of solvents. Then, using unique catalyst technology, the transition from the liquid processing state to a solid thermoplastic occurs in a fraction of a second.
