"PPS may reduce cost and weight as much as 90% compared to current fuel cell prototypes", claims Ticona's market development manager Am i M. El Agizy. This fantastic savings comes from using the injection-molded polyphenylene resin to integrate the end plate and the adjacent insulating plate into one functional plate for use in proton exchnage membrane fuel cells.
