An energy-saving induction barrel-heating option is now available directly from Ferromarik Milacron Kurope North America,Batavia.Ohio.The n Xheat induction heaving system was developed by Xaloy Group.New Castle,Pa.It is said to save up to 70% on barrel heating energy compared with conventional heater bands while also cutting downtime and maintenance costs due to hearer-band faii-ure.This new option for K-Tek,Maxima,and Cap-Tec machines uses a high-frequency power supply and an induction cable wound helically around a two-piece,rigid insulation jacket that covers the barrel.
