Ashland Composite Polymers,Dublin,Ohio,has added a dedicated infusion molding laboratory to its R&D facilities.Ashland says infusion molding (or vacuum infusion) is rapidly gaining popularity as an alternative to hand lay-up and spray-up because it reduces styrene emissions,improves product consistency and physical properties (relative to spray-up),and reduces costs (depending on part size).
