Spot hard coking coal prices rose September 23, supported by buying interest from Indian users. The increase comes in spite of comfortable supply, as a number of cargoes were being offered. With India considered the likeliest destination for Australian HCC, Platts raised its 64% CSR mid-vol price by $2 to $195/mt FOB Australia. This grade is presently seen as carrying a $13/mt discount against typical premium hard coking coals.
