Indonesian coal prices were trading lower May 18 both for homogenous and blended bituminous and sub-bituminous coals as traders told Platts that China's steam coal import demand has waned considerably compared with recent weeks. Platts assessed its FOB Kalimantan 1 (5,900 kcal/kg GAR) daily 90-day price at $108.75/mt, a $1.25/mt decrease from May 17 and FOB Kalimantan 2 (5,000 kcal/kg GAR) at $85.75/mt, also $1.25/mt lower day-on-day.
