Coal India current fiscal year production to be 432 million mt

India's largest coal producer, state-run Coal India Limited expects to achieve coal production of around 432 million mt for the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, versus a target of 440 million mt. Coal India will not achieve its target in FY 2010-11 with output likely to be 431.5-432 million mt, a Coal India official said. Coal India had already revised its original production target of 460.5 million mt to 440 million mt for the current fiscal year, due to delays in obtaining statuary rights and other clearances for developing coal blocks.
