China's thermal coal, coking coal prices steady

China's domestic thermal coal prices have stabilized in the past week, arresting a three-week downside trend, moni- tors at Qinhuangdao Port said September 15. Free-on-truck (FOT) prices of 5,500 kcal/kg Shanxi coal at Qinhuangdao Port are ranging Yuan 710-720/mt ($105.30- $106.80/mt, including 17% VAT), down Yuan 15/mt since mid-August. Similar coals traded Yuan 565-575/mt in the equivalent year-earlier period.
