Low density polyethylene continued its uptrend, inching up $9/mt, or less than 1%, on the week to end at $1,410/mt CFR Far East Asia, on the back of tight global supply. With few producers, supply remained limited across the region. Further, Titan Chemical’s turnaround plan in October is expected to keep LDPE supply tight. While most producers were still not offering October shipment cargoes this week, a Middle Eastern producer started offering cargoes at $1,420/mt CFR China (L/C at sight).
