Acrylonitrile prices are expected to come under pressure from additional deepsea supplies, and weak demand from buyers for spot cargoes. On the week, CFR Far East Asia and CFR Southeast Asia prices continued to be backwardated, down 0.24% or $5/mt to rest at $2,055/mt and $2,075/mt, respectively. CFR South Asian prices, however, remained stable at $1,955/mt CFR, as further spot cargoes are not expected to be available in the short-term. Up to 15,000 mt of September-loading deepsea cargoes, mainly from the US, Russia and Brazil, were expected to arrive in China by the end of October.
