Japan's Sanyo to restart Mizushima steam cracker, HDA unit Apr 19

Singapore—Japan's Sanyo Petrochemical plans to restar its sole naphtha-fed steam cracker and hydrodealkylation unit in Mizushima, western Japan, on April 19, an industry source said Wednesday. The steam cracker is able to produce 470,000 mt/year of ethylene and 300,000 mt/year of propylene while the HDA unit can produce 300,000 mt/year of benzene. The cracker was shut on February 17 while the HDA unit was shut around February 20-21 for turnarounds.
