Larsen & Toubro to add 5,000 MW, consuming 20-25 million mt by 2015

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced plans to develop 5,000 MW coal-fired power generation capacity by 2015. While launching its first project at Rajpura in the Indian state of Punjab with the commissioning of two 660 MW supercritical it said the plant should be commissioned by April 2014.
