Brazilian polypropylene offers to Mercosur will likely increase $50/mt for H2 September, said a source at Braskem. “We should apply this month a second increase to follow the international market. For September H1, Braskem polypropylene offers to Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia were at $1,580- 1,650/mt CFR for homo raffia, injection and film, $1,650- 1,720/mt CFR for co-polymer and at $1,720-1,790/mt CFR for random. Brazil’s H1 September offers to Argentina were pegged at $1,800-1,900/mt CFR for PP homo and at $1,900- 2,000/mt CFR for PP co-polymer. Mercosur demand was reported with healthy signals during the month.
