Domestic and export prices for US EDC kept level this week, but may be on the rise in the near future if ethylene prices continue to climb. Market activity was thin with weak demand and ample supply available. Downstream, the 5 cent increase for US PVC was still struggling to gain acceptance this week. However, there was talk of 3 cents being accepted in the market, sources said. Producers were expected to push for the remainder of the 5 cent increase in February.
